Wild Swim Paintings: Deep in the Shallows

Now that the Wild Swim collection is out in the world, I’m going to share a little more about each of the paintings from it in a series of blog posts. If you’ve had your eye on one, this is a chance to get to know it better!

This week: Deep in the Shallows

One of my favourite things to do when swimming is to put on my very attractive snorkel and float around face down by the rocks, taking in the wonder that is the ‘underwater garden’.

An array of seaweeds swaying and dancing, the way the sunlight beams through and lights up their colours, and sometimes catching sight of a fish or starfish, or even a jellyfish.

It’s all completely mesmerising, and all I have to do is jump in and it’s all right there beneath me.

Sometimes you don’t have to go far at all to find exactly what you’re looking for.
