An Artist's Library: The Seaweed Collector's Handbook

The Seaweed Collector's Handbook

I was given this little gem of a book for Christmas, and keep it by the Pondering Chair in the studio so I can dip in and out between painting sessions.

It’s an absolute delight, full of historical tales and beautiful pictures - even recipes. I’m not sure I’ll get around to cooking with seaweed, but I love the lyrical way Miek Zwamborn, the author - and herself a poet and artist - writes, and the stories give context and layers of meaning.

You can find the book here; I recommend the hardback version - it’s beautifully tactile. And there are lots more water related books here.
