Everywhere You Look
Everywhere You Look
I spent a lot of the winter roaming the wide sands of a beach near me that enjoys very low tides.
Shell fragments, strands of seaweed, and ripples in the sand all reminded me of how how memory works, in bits and pieces that are revealed and fade away at different times. And while I was walking I'd also be in the memories of being immersed, so the experiences would overlap inside me.
What's revealed at low tide is an ever changing, intoxicating mix of sky, sand, patterns, shapes, light, movement, and reflections. Even on the rainiest days there are things that catch your eye and delight your soul. Everywhere You Look is about those days.
